Men's hair systems are typically worn for a few weeks before requiring washing. To prolong the lifespan of your hair system, it is essential to dry it correctly.
Hair systems have either knotted, v-looped, or injected hair onto the base, which means they lack the natural oil nutrition from the scalp and are prone to dryness. Therefore, it is important to be cautious when drying your hair system. This article will provide tips on how to properly dry your hair system after washing.
Step 1: Dry the hair system with a towel.
After showering, cover your hair system with a dry towel and gently press it against your hair to absorb excess water. It is recommended to use a microfiber towel. Avoid rubbing or pulling the hair system. This method can also be used when removing and cleaning the hair system. It is not advisable to use a hair dryer frequently as it can cause damage and dryness to your hair.
Step 2: Gently comb out tangles using a wide-tooth comb.
Apply leave-in conditioner to your hair and gently comb out any tangles with a wide-tooth comb.
Step 3: Blow drying hair on a low setting
Dryness and heat are the main factors that damage hair systems, shortening their lifespan and causing shedding. To protect your hair from heat damage, we recommend air-drying your hair system instead of blow-drying it whenever possible. If you need to blow-dry your hair system, use the cool setting to minimize damage.
Step 4: Drying the Hair System Base with a Blow Dryer
This step is for removing a lace hair system and cleaning it. To speed up the drying process, turn the hair base up and pin it onto a Styrofoam head. Blow dry the lace base on a cool setting to ensure it is completely dry. Avoid using heat as it can damage the knots and cause shedding problems.
